Sophie Mei is an artist and researcher currently completing her MA at the Slade School of Fine Art, where she has been awarded the Euan Uglow Scholarship. She has a multimedia practice, which investigates psychophysical response to materials; this year she has been awarded an Emerging Artist Award by Sarabande: The Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation and her recent art exhibitions include: ‘London Grads Now’ at the Saatchi Gallery and ‘5 Hours’ at 42 Molton St. Sophie joined MAL in January 2019 and has helped organise exhibitions and residencies including ‘The Portal will Open,’ 'Speculative Immersion' and 'Technologies of Capture + Perspective' at the Tate Exchange.
