IONA SONG
BSc Anthropology with a Year Abroad, UCL
Iona is a researcher currently working on environmental consumer attitudes post-pandemic. She recently graduated from BSc Anthropology at UCL, where she explored theories of affect, temporality and imagined futures, as well as concepts of the Anthropocene. Her dissertation focused on how climate activists in Extinction Rebellion make sense of and reframe their relationship to the future, from the vantage point of the present. At UCL MAL, she hopes to learn more about research processes and future possibilities for ethnographic practices.
