Tess Baxter is a video artist and printmaker blending different technologies and worlds. Her video art practice extends into traditional printmaking, exploring the relationship of digital production (light) and mechanical production (ink).
Tess has a creative background, having worked in photography, graphic design, writing and modelmaking. These inform her current practice, as well as personal and academic interest in music, poetry and literature. Her practice based PhD engaged with creative communities in online spaces, and their connections to actual life.
Academically multidisciplinary, from BSc geology (Reading), BA sociology (UCLan), MA gender sexuality culture (Manchester) into PhD contemporary art (Lancaster).
